We’ve seen a lot of them this year; ice crystals.  But what may surprise you is those tiny water formations have proven that positive words uplift us, while negative ones can tear us down. That’s right, we’ve all known that positive self talk can lead to a better day, heck, a better life and now it has been proven by nature itself. Since our bodies are made of 70% water, producing good vibrations can greatly impact our life.

The Miracle of Water

In his book The Miracle of Water Masaru Emoto, MD writes about the phenomenon he researched with microscopic ice crystals. He reports that when ice crystals are exposed to certain words they take on different forms. Words such as I love you or I can do it created beautifully uniformed crystals whereas, negative phrases and words such as I’ll never succeed or This is hopeless lead to broken and misshapen crystals. Dr Emoto  says that this happens because words carry vibrations that resonate in water and then transfigure its molecular structure. From this he draws the conclusion that our bodies are made up of 70% water, so when we use good words, the water vibrates positively leading us to feelings of “health, happiness, and well-being”. While negative words lead to feelings of hopelessness, sadness, and over all negativity.

Perfect Time For Positive Thinking

So the next time you take a drink of water tell yourself things like; I am beautiful, I can do it, I will succeed, I am perfectly imperfect or whatever makes you feel good.  You do have the power to make 2015 a happy, joyful, and beautiful year. It’s all in the self-talk you choose, so choose wisely.
