I was recently watching a Ted Talk and the phrase
grow to give was used. Those 3 words grow-to-give have clung to me like a wet bathing suit, ever since. Why? Because we are wired to grow. We cant help, but grow. We may not like it. We may not want it and we may reject it when it doesn’t arrive in the package we expected. But we are always growing.
I was so moved by the statement, I looked up the synonyms for grow; increase, develop, expand, extend, produce, raise.
Ahh, I love it. Wow, when was the last time you raised the bar in your life? Or produced something from scratch that pushed you to grow a
new skill or a new outlook? Or expanded your mindset enough to allow something new, daring, exciting, to enter in? When is the last time you increased your output, in order to produce just a little more, in order to give a little more? Yes I mean give to others. But I also mean
grow to give, to yourself. Give yourself the gift of your truest, best self, by growing.
It is true. We are wired to grow and ultimately, we grow to give.
