If you are feeling anxious, fearful, or sad, I have something significant to share with you:
Being hopeful and happy, even in the midst of such an unknown time, does not make you a bad person. It does not make you callus or out of touch with reality. Being sad because you feel bad feeling good, is like cutting your own arm off after witnessing a horrible car accident. It does absolutely nothing to help the accident victims. All it is does is harm you, spread the pain around even more, and further put you in an unlikely position to do any good at all.
Absolutely, do what you can to help this world right now. 🙏
Then, how about you take this time to work on you?
Develop These 3 Things
What if you looked at this current winter season of life as an opportunity to develop these three things:
- Your faith muscle 💪
- Your hope muscle 🦵
- An opportunity for personal growth 👤
If you weather the storm we are in, by allowing fear to cripple you, you will quickly lose sight of what is possible right now and for your future. Because without possibilities, hopelessness can creep in. And that, my friend, does not serve anyone well! ❌
On the other hand, having hope and faith that we will weather this storm both globally and in the recesses of our hearts and homes is precisely what is needed right now.
Why? Because hope and faith allow us to hand some of this off to someone or something bigger than ourselves. It reminds us that we are not alone and primes us to remember a couple of fundamental truths:
- After Winter always comes Spring. 🌱
- It will not be like this forever. 🌈
- The future will include a new day, a fresh start, and new life. 🌞
